On November 23-24, our special collection will support the Catholic Campaign for Human Development. More than 46 million people in the United States live in poverty today. This collection supports programs that empower people to identify and address obstacles as they work to make permanent and positive changes for their communities. Learn more about the Catholic Campaign for Human Development at www.usccb.org/cchd/collection.
Please be generous in this special collection. In the United States, one in six people live in poverty. Through this collection you support programs that address the causes of poverty and provide a sustainable future for people across the country who struggle. In addition 25% of the funds we collect will remain in our diocese to fund local antipoverty projects. Please prayerfully consider how you can support this collection and work on the margins.
Here at the cathedral, if you do not receive our contribution envelopes, we will take up a second collection at the doors at all Masses the weekend of November 23-24.
